SPAN is a free game with no account and no ads. This page explains, in plain English, everything that's stored about you.

This is required game functionality, not analytics — it's how SPAN remembers your streak after you close the tab. It is separate from the analytics consent below and is not affected by your Accept/Reject choice.
If you accept, SPAN sends aggregate usage events to Google Analytics so we can see roughly how many people play and whether the game is working. Events include: viewing a puzzle, starting a puzzle, finishing a puzzle, winning, losing, starting or finishing a practice round, sharing a result, and opening the rules. Each event is tagged with the puzzle type (Daily, Preview or Practice) and, for Daily, the puzzle number.
SPAN does not collect your name, email address, or your guesses or answers, and nothing we send is used to build an advertising profile. After you accept, Google processes limited device and usage information (such as browser type and approximate region) as part of providing Analytics — see Google's privacy policy for how Google itself handles that data.
If you reject, none of this is sent, no analytics cookies are set, and the game works exactly the same either way.
You can accept or reject analytics at any time.
This removes your saved streak, stats and in-progress guesses from this browser. It cannot be undone.
